The K10 Assessment

Interactive assessment

Measure the weight of what you are carrying right now.

The K10 is a simple, well-validated questionnaire used across Australian mental health services. It measures the weight of what you are carrying right now.

It will not diagnose you. It will not tell you what to do. But it can give you a clear picture of how much psychological distress you are experiencing — and sometimes, seeing that written down is the first step.

There are 10 questions about how you have been feeling over the last 4 weeks. Each one has 5 answer options. There are no right or wrong answers. Take your time. You can pause and come back if you need to.

At the end, logged-in users see their results immediately. Visitors who are not logged in will be redirected to sign in or create an account before results are shown.

If you are in crisis right now, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 — you do not need to complete this assessment first.
  • Your answers are confidential and stored securely
  • This assessment takes approximately 3 minutes
  • You can retake it anytime — we recommend every 3 to 6 months
  • Your results are saved to your account for retest tracking
